Expert Speech Pathologist

Dr. Maryane Gomez (PhD) is an experienced paediatric speech-language pathologist with a passion for working in early intervention and with children who have severe speech disorders. Maryane graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) in 2007 from The University of Queensland and went on to complete her Master's in Speech Language Pathology, at The University of Queensland (2011). She has experience working with children across the world, having worked in Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne), the United States (Michigan, Wisconsin) and the UK. She recently completed her PhD at The University of Sydney focusing on improving treatment for children with childhood apraxia of speech. Maryane has also been a lecturer in speech pathology in the US and across the East Coast of Australia. She recently completed her Post-doctoral Fellowship at The University of Sydney. Maryane is still actively part of the CAS research community where she works alongside leading experts in the CAS field that ultimately informs her clinical practice. Maryane is a mum of a vivacious 5-year old who keeps her on her toes and helps her to get an insight into the joys and challenges of early childhood.
