As a busy mum, I appreciate the value of questionnaires/screeners to help me identify whether my child is exhibiting signs of anything I should follow up on. There are a number of really valuable resources that you may wish to tap into- and I've included one below.
One resource I use in my clinical practice is the Infant Vocabulary Checklist (OZI-SF). To help parents identify whether there may be speech, language or communication delays/disorders, I have developed a quick screener that you can complete. Please note, this questionnaire should not be used to replace parent/caregiver intuition, recommendations from teachers, family, friends, or other healthcare professions. Look at it as a tool to help validate that nagging feeling you have that maybe it's time to see a speech pathologist.
